Up Next is a platform that will show case the talents of new and up coming artist.  This platform will give artist some exposure so that they are able to receive the recognition that they deserve.

If you have not experienced the exclusive love train engineered by Daniel Caesar… You are missing out! So all aboard as I take you on the musical journey of this new up and coming artist.

The 22 year-old Canadian bred singer made his debut in 2014 with his first EP “Praise Break” releasing his second EP “Pilgrim’s Paradise” the following year. With each album/EP Caesar offers up a plate with an entree of soul, along with rhythm and blues as the side dish.

Daniel Caesar’s breakout single “Get You” was released in October of 2016, which has accumulated over 10 million streams on Apple music since. You can check this song out on his latest album “Freudian” which was dropped August, 2017.

Freudian gives its listeners a taste of Caesars melodic tunes and his sultry voice. Freudian is the type of album that makes you want to lay in the grass with the volume playing at a low level while gazing up at the stars in the sky. This album also features artist such as Kali Uchis, Syd from the Internet, and H.E.R which makes this one of the smoothest albums of 2017.

I stayed up way past my bedtime trying to compare each one of Daniel Caesars albums. Even gave myself a headache trying to put them in order from my favorite to least favorite. With each album Caesar has exemplified growth as an artist.

Out of the three albums, my personal favorite would have to be his latest, “Freudian.” The symphonic sounds left me in a state of bliss as Caesar takes his listeners on a musical journey exposing his heart with a pen and pad. “Best Part” is one of my favorite songs off of the album and has been on repeat for the past few days. This song features the lovely vocals of up and coming artist “H.E.R.” Cupid must have shot his arrow through this song because it is beautiful enough to make any single person want to witness falling in love for themselves.

Go find out what Daniel Caesar is all about. You can listen to his albums through Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
